| Dr. Head |
Dr. Head began his work at Glade Valley in 1983 and became a co-owner in 1986. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Maryland and graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. He and his wife Kim have raised 6 children - 2 boys and 4 girls along with a Noah’s Ark menagerie which has included numerous litters of Golden Retrievers and Shelties. Dr. Head’s Christian faith was instrumental in his choice of Veterinary Medicine as a profession and he feels blessed to serve God in his career. He and his family are active members of Thurmont United Methodist Church where they help lead worship and sing as he plays his guitar. Kim can be seen helping out as a part time technician around the hospital.

| Dr. Stephen Derrenbacher |
Dr. Derrenbacher joined Glade Valley in 1986 after earning both his undergraduate and DVM degrees at Virginia Tech (Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine). He became co-owner in 2003. He is originally from Frederick and now lives with his family in Johnsville on the farm where he grew up. He and his wife Ruth Ann have 2 boys along with a dog and a cat. In addition, they own an Angus and Hereford herd and they raise and sell grass-fed freezer beef under the name, “Ruth Ann’s Garden Style Beef”. Dr. Derrenbacher serves as the worship leader at Grace Bible Church where the entire family serves the Lord in various ministries. Ruth Ann handles payroll and other administrative tasks at the hospital. |

| Dr. Jodi Holcomb |
Dr. Holcomb has been working as a relief veterinarian at Glade Valley since 2005. A native of New Orleans, she received her DVM degree from Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, met and married a Hagerstown boy, and moved to Maryland. She and her husband, Richard, live in Sabillasville with their 4 dogs, 2 horses, and 4 chinchillas. Dr. Holcomb, who returns to the New Orleans area to visit her family often, is an enthusiastic supporter of the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, and the Elizabeth Sullivan Memorial United Methodist Church where she has been a member for over 40 years.

| Dr. Lori Landis |
Dr. Landis, who joined Glade Valley in 2009, completed her undergraduate degree at Hood College then earned her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She has lived and practiced in Virginia for several years before returning to Maryland with her husband, Kent Carlson in 2000. She lives in Middletown with her husband, daughter, son and many other furred, scaled and feathered pets. She enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, hiking, camping and swimming. Dr. Landis is also an active member of the Middletown United Methodist Church where she teaches Sr. High Sunday school. She views her career as an opportunity to minister to people and animals and to serve the local community. |
