Pet Insurance


At Glade Valley we recommend pet insurance for all our patients, but especially younger pets as premiums for young cats and dogs are lower and tend to only change gradually over the life of your pet.

Pet insurance works similiarly to car insurance, providing a way to cover major medical expenses such as fractures, hospitalizations, and long-term illness.

We recommend Trupanion Pet Insurance, which currently offers 90% reimbursement of medical expenses minus your deductible and office visit cost. We do not receive any compensation from any pet insurance company, but do feel that pet insurance is another segment of the total care for your pets.

They offer policies that range from basic emergency services (VPI Injury Plan), to total health reimbursement (vaccines, exams, bloodwork, etc) as well as options for basic care of your feline friends (VPI Feline Select)
